Summer Dance Intensive
The Summer Dance & Mime Intensive is a truly unique week where cultures, stories talent and faith meet to strenghten, inspire and encourage you. This Dance Camp offers professional training in dance and physical theatre in a place where you will receive more understanding in how to bridge the gap between passionately pursuing your gifts and honoring God with your life.
You have the option to attend the entire week or just to participate in individual masterclasses.
Dance
Ballet and Modern/Contemporary Dance classes are the two focused dance majors along with a wide array of various dance-style electives. Your technical level will be determined by your self assessment on your application and the first class you take during the week. Classes will be divided into three groups, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced according the level of technique.
During the daily choreograpy classes we will rehearse a piece that will be presented at the end of the week to the other participants and interested people from the outside. The style could vary between Modern/Contemporary and or Jazz.
Afternoon elective
Electives could include Jazz, Hip-Hop, Teaching and Understanding the Dance Techniques of Martha Graham, Horton Technique, Contemporary Floorwork, pedagogical methods for Modern and Ballet, Teaching Methods of Ballet for Children, Worship Dance/Dancing Prayers, Choreography and Compositions, Pilates/Body Conditioning, Anatomy and more! There will be discussion groups or Q&A around topics like discipleship / character forming for the artist / How does a dance company function, etc. Physical Theatre will also be an elective class open for everyone.
Dance Instructors
Randall Flinn, Artistic Director, has worked as a dance educator and choreographer with Cirque Du Soleil, Ballet Magnificat, Houston Ballet Academy, Houston’s High School for Performing Arts, Houston Met Dance Company, Project Dance, Belhaven College, Hillsong Church-Sydney, YWAM Schools of the Arts, Xaris Danz Europe and Revolve Dance Company.

Their mission is to serve through their lives and talents and offer hope and inspiration in a troubled world where artists can work as ambassadors of healing, restoration and cultural reform.
Physical Theatre
Dive into physical theatre master workshop: Choreography Design, Concept-to-Stage.
Join Infusion team Melanie Cossette and Daniel Cossette in development to create a physical theatre movement piece for students to use as their own. Technique sessions exploring various concepts from weight, breath, counter-balance, punctuations & rhythms, body control and suspension, will lead into choreography design sessions where students develop an Infusion-style solo piece (or duo for groups) following our process of curiosity and discovery.
This physical theatre workshop will:
- Guide beginners by providing techniques and creative applications, while giving opportunity to explore ideas.
- Give advanced students space to develop their own choreographic decisions, help construct an Infusion-style piece, and keep their technique sharp and applied.
The track will run in the afternoon, as an alternative to dance electives and dance choreography
Daily:
90-minute technique and exploration classes
90-minute choreography/mimography creation process
This 5-day workshop track is for professional and pre-professional performers, actors, dancers, visual artists and students 14+.
For individuals or groups.
