School of Biblical Christian Worldview (SBCW)

School of Applied Christian Thinking

Have you ever wondered how to apply your Christian faith in society? Come to be inspired, receive vision and learn how to bring it into reality.

We teach how to apply Christianity in and beyond your personal life. The Good News of Jesus Christ is about much more than personal salvation and is relevant in all areas of society. It transforms life – and it transforms communities.

You will discover the world through God’s eyes and understand what He wants to do through you in the place that you live in. Learning will be hands-on as we visit historic and significant places in Switzerland; such as Geneva, (the City of Reformation and the UN) or Bern (where the Swiss Parliament is located). Additionally, we will visit various businesses, churches, projects for environmental care and of course, our famous Swiss Alps.

Please come, see, smell, touch, learn and be encouraged to go throughout the whole world establishing the Kingdom of God as princes and princesses.

School Program

During the School of Biblical Christian Worldview, we discover how we can meet the challenges of the 21st Century by applying a Bible-focused Christian worldview. We help you to find your sphere of influence and to teach how to take responsibility in all spheres of life (family, economy, politics, science, church, media, and the arts). Switzerland is one of the most influenced nation with Christianity and therefore the best place to study reformation.

The SBCW will help you to find answers to the world’s big questions from a biblical Christian worldview. The school deals with the cultural developments in our globalized world and gives insight into the thinking behind current social and political shifts.

You will learn not only in the classroom but practically, from responsible professional people who hold significant positions in different spheres of society. Both, in and out of the classroom you will learn from international teachers who are skilled in challenging people’s minds and moving their hearts.

Learning will take place through lectures, discussions, self-study, practical work, designing your own projects, worship, intercession and through communal living. Almost every week we visit different projects outside of the classroom environment.

Each student will be personally tutored by one of the staff and get professional support in their own project. In these times, we will go deeper into subjects that are of interest to you. This will aid you in your personal application of what you’ve learned. It is our goal to help each student discover biblical Christian principles, and to be encouraged to apply them in their personal lives and realm of society. We also emphasize the importance of character-building and a godly lifestyle while searching for knowledge. We encourage you to live a lifestyle based on Jesus. With every student, we will look at his or her next steps and support them in finding their destiny.

How we venture to influence the world?

The world is changed by people living in close relationship with Jesus Christ and living in good relationships to the environment where God put them in. We equip students with the best tools available to address their challenges in all spheres of society. These tools help and encourage you to live your life based on the bible. We teach, plant ideas, encourage you to think and foster growth in your personal life.

Some examples on what this could signify:

Family

- Strengthening of the family (man and wife as image of God) in society, which in turn will foster stable and trustful relationships and through this, increase social and economic stability and prosperity.

Church

- Church understands itself as active contribution to the redemption of all creation, including all spheres of society.
- Church becomes a launching pad to influence all spheres of society through the revelation of God, resulting in tangible hope.

State

- The state serves its members (families, individuals) and not vice versa.
- Legislation and decisions are implemented on the most basic possible level of society (i.e. first individuals, then family, then church, then (federalist) state). Individuals and their families assume self-responsibility.

Education

- Teaching should be based on a Bible-based, Christian worldview.
- Teach how students can take self-responsibility and care for their own culture.
- Learn how a nation can develop, work and function.

Economy

- Economical thinking moves from creativity given by God.
- Conducting businesses as worship to God.
- Economic decisions become determined by our values.
- Increase self-responsibility: Entrepreneurs can prosper or succeed, assuming the responsibility given by God.
- Empower people to find their calling and destiny.

Media

- Media considers itself as a herald of truth.
- Media serves society and upholds moral values, as communicated in the bible.

Science

- Science is based on truth.
- Awareness that scientific research is not the only path to discover truth.
- Science serves God and the people, and not itself.
- Science assumes its important role in the restoration of creation.

Arts

- Creativity is God-given and should reflect the Creator or His creation.
- Arts – content wise – return to their initially intended purpose: Leading people to worship and the adoration of the Creator.
