School of Missional Justice (SMJ)
Why?
- Why do the innocent suffer?
- Why do the rich get richer and the poor get poorer?
- Why are women and children victimized and exploited?
- Why do I exist?
- Why? Why? Why?
Have you ever been asked these questions or others like them? Have you ever asked them yourself? There is room for these questions and many more in the School of Missional Justice!
At the heart of the School of Missional Justice is getting to know God, His character and His ways and letting that inform how we think, mold our character, teach us how to act, motivate us in how we relate, and determine how we live.

Imago Dei – the Image of God
Because every person is created in the Image of God, therefore...
- we work to alleviate poverty, disease and starvation
- we work to prevent the abduction and trafficking of boys & girls, men & women - and rescue & rehabilitate those taken
- we give a voice to the voiceless, stand up for the weak and vulnerable
- we fight for the lives and uphold the dignity of all persons from their beginning to their natural end
- we show hospitality – loving the stranger - and our neighbor as ourselves
Because of the Imago Dei we join in the Missio Dei – the Mission of God

This course affirms and explores the Missio Dei (the Mission of the triune God). The mission of the Creator is to glorify Himself through redeeming sinful humans and restoring corrupted creation. The Gospel is the Good News of the Kingdom of God - inaugurated by Jesus in His first coming but "not yet" complete until His second coming. As followers of Jesus we are called to proclaim and spread the Gospel and live out its implications. We pursue an integrated, holistic approach to aligning with God's Kingdom agenda of righting relationships with Himself, others, and creation; to restoring justice; and to bringing healing to a broken world. We highlight a Biblical Christian Worldview and the resulting pursuit of a lifestyle of doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God (Micah 6:8) in every sphere of society.
School
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8
Missional
And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20
Justice
For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe. He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing. Deuteronomy 10:17-18
